"Al Myers of Williston Central School, in Williston, Vermont, passed away this spring. Al was a mentor to new teachers for most of his career. We first filmed him and our colleague, Dr. Lynn Murray, as they started to
transform the school toward project-based learning. Williston became one the first examples of a K-8 school running on the PBL model. Al taught a generation of teachers, students, and parents. He was a genius, the best teacher I have ever had the privilege of knowing, and he will be missed. Fortunately, we have a video record of his practice at Williston with his colleagues from 1992-2007." — Dr. Leonard Burrello
